......Let’s just say that after four years of living here, the Hardy Blues were well - rooted and happy where they were. Digging the plants out was a really big job. – Luckily Steve was able to get a few days off work (his other work!)

At long last I’m ready to ‘pen’ a new blog, starting with a few reflections of 2014. It was the second blueberry harvest for us here at rmf and we were able to offer a few other fruits and veggies as well. The blueberry harvest was, in a word, intense.

Soil Blocking is a really nice way to start seeds. All you need is a blocker, the right potting mix, water and seed.

Hello! Not sure where May went, but June is here and everything is growing with gusto! The plants are green and full, making it really hard to find anybody in the field, especially if they are not standing. We can certainly live with that though, it means they are growing.

Much has been happening out in the field and around the farm since the last update. Notably, we enjoyed (endured?) a large dump of snow in February and a lengthy cold snap. Not unusual for an interior winter, but it was for us.
